• Director Harry Waldman's style makes the familiar premise unique, but the big reveal at the end feels too out of left field, placing it in a lesser M. Night Shyamalan category that doesn't feel earned.
• There is such a detachment between the main character Brian and the audience because of how unlikable he is that by the time we are supposed to feel sorry for him, not enough depth has been given to his character to fully sympathize.
