Deadpool director Tim Miller reveals the surprisingly small payday he received for launching the blockbuster franchise, despite its massive success.

Miller was paid only $225,000 for directing the first Deadpool movie, which went on to gross over $780 million worldwide - a fraction of the film's massive profits.
Miller wanted to give Morena Baccarin's character Vanessa more screentime and explore her romance with Deadpool, as well as include a fight scene between Deadpool and the Fantastic Four's Thing, but creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds prevented him from returning for the sequels.
